The Essentials of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

The psychodynamic orientation to psychotherapy is often confused with Freudian psychoanalysis as though nothing had been developed since couch time. However, this is an approach that works to sleuth out the underlying reasons that people feel what they feel (or don’t!) and why they behave the way they do. The presentation is offered by Cathy Loula MD, both psychiatrist and psychoanalyst from the Pine Society, a psychodynamic training program. She promises that this will be an easily comprehensible presentation of the material and will enhance the attendees scope of both understanding and offer enhanced strategies for clinical work.
